- Go to Google Account settings. (myaccount.google.com)
- Scroll to the bottom.
- Select Delete Google+ profile and features.
- The only YouTube channel that will be deleted is the one listed on the next page. It should be your name. If that happens to be the YouTube channel you use, then you are out of luck. But in most cases it should be an empty channel.
- Check the two boxes at the bottom.
- Click Remove selected services.
- Google Plus is deleted, but YouTube channels, including those linked to a page, remain. (When accessing Google Plus, the only option will be to use Pages, which are the YouTube channels.)

- Uncheck the main boxes under the Conditions tab (for Idle, Power, and Network).
