Windows 10: Gain Access to C:\Program Files\WindowsApps

How to view the contents of the WindowsApps folder in the Program Files for Windows 10.
  1. Navigate to the Program Files folder on the C:\ drive.
  2. If you do not see the WindowsApps folder, enable hidden files by going to the View tab and checking the box labeled Hidden items.
  3. Double-click on the folder and click Continue when a permissions prompt appears.
  4. Another prompt will tell you that "you have been denied permission to access this folder" and that you must use the security tab to gain access. Open the provided security tab link.
  5. Switch to the Security tab in the properties window.
  6. Click Advanced at the bottom of the window.
  7. Click Continue in the new window.
  8. Click Change next to the owner, which should be TrustedInstaller.
  9. Type in the current system account's username and click Check Names.
  10. After the computer name followed by the username appears in the textbox, click OK.
  11. Check the box below the new owner's name to apply these permissions to all subfolders and files.
  12. Click Apply, OK (in the prompt), and OK (to close the window).
  13. Close the windows and try accessing the folder again. A security prompt may appear, but the folder will open after clicking Continue.
  14. If you need to revert the owner back to TrustedInstaller, the name to search for is NT Service\TrustedInstaller.

How to Delete a YouTube Account (Linked to Google+ Page)

How to delete a YouTube account/channel that is linked to a Google+ page.
  1. Go to https://myaccount.google.com.
  2. Sign in using your email and password.
  3. Under Account preferences, go to Delete your account or services.
  4. Select Delete products.
  5. Enter your password again.
  6. Click the trash can icon next to YouTube.
  7. Click the account profile picture in the upper-right corner.
  8. Select the Google+ page that you wish to delete.
  9. The Remove YouTube content page should change to reflect the selected channel.
  10. Select I want to permanently delete my content, check the box(es), and click the Delete my content button.
  11. Verify your email in the pop-up window and click Delete my content.

How to delete a YouTube account that is under an email address (not a Google+ page). Make sure you are using Google as the email and not a Google+ page by clicking on the profile picture in the upper-right corner.
  1. Go to https://myaccount.google.com.

Gmail: How to Hide Tabs and Other Clutter

How to remove tabs, unnecessary mailboxes, and the chat widget in Gmail.
  1. Click on the settings icon.
  2. Choose Configure inbox.
  3. Deselect the Social, Promotions, Updates, and Forums checkboxes and click Save.
  4. Click the settings icon once more and open the Settings link.
  5. Under the General tab, set People Widget to Hide the people widget.
  6. For Personal level indicators, set No indicators.
  7. Switch to the Labels tab.
  8. Set everything to hide, and then set the mailboxes that you use most in addition to the inbox, such as Sent Mail, to show.
  9. Switch to the Inbox tab.
  10. Set Importance markers to No markers.
  11. Switch to the Chat tab.
  12. Set it to Chat off.
  13. Click Save Changes.
  14. Return back to the inbox and notice how clean yet functional it looks.

Windows 10: How to Uninstall Built-in Webcam

How to uninstall the webcam drivers on a Windows laptop, which essentially uninstalls the hardware.
  1. Open the Control Panel.
  2. Go to Hardware and Sound.
  3. Under Devices and Printers, click Device Manager.
  4. Find Imaging devices in the list.
  5. Right-click on the laptop's webcam.
  6. Select Properties.
  7. Switch to the Driver tab and click Uninstall.
  8. Answer yes to the prompt. The webcam will be "removed" from the laptop.

Eclipse: How to Check for Updates

How to check for updates in the Eclipse IDE.
  1. Open Eclipse.
  2. Open the Help menu.
  3. Click Check for Updates.
  4. The program will check for updates with the software sites that provide them. If there are updates, it will install them.
  5. If not, a prompt will display saying that No updates were found. Click OK to close the prompt.
  6. To check the version of Eclipse, go to the Help menu and click About Eclipse.
