Paint.NET: How to Crop an Image into a 16:9 Aspect Ratio

How to crop an image into a 16:9 aspect ratio using Paint.NET.
  1. Open the image in Paint.NET.
  2. To check the aspect ratio, go to Image, then Resize.
  3. Check Maintain aspect ratio.
  4. Type 1920 for the first value.
  5. If the second box is not 1080, then the image is not in a 16:9 aspect ratio.
  6. Close the resize window.
  7. Use the Rectangle Select tool in the toolbox.
  8. In the menu bar, click on Normal, or use the drop down menu to select Fixed Ratio.
  9. Type 16 for width and 9 for height.
  10. Drag the rectangle to select a crop area on the image. The box will stay in a 16:9 ratio.
  11. When you are ready, use the Crop to Selection button in the main toolbar, to the right of the cut, copy, and paste icons.
  12. Go to Image and Resize again.
  13. Check Maintain aspect ratio.
  14. Type 1920 in the first box.
  15. The second value should be close to 1080.
  16. If it is something like 1081, uncheck Maintain aspect ratio and change it. Either way, one pixel will not make a difference.

  1. Select the files you want to zip or compress.
  2. Right-click.
  3. Select Send to, then Compressed (zipped) folder.
  4. The zipped folder will appear in the original location.

How to View Windows NT Version (Build Number)

How to view the Windows NT version, also known as the build number, for your computer.
  1. Open Command Prompt.
  2. Type ver.
  3. The build number will be displayed.
  4. It is also at the top of the command prompt window, if you did not notice.
  5. Using the command line interface (CLI) is faster than using the graphical user interface (GUI), as the basic information listed in the control panel does not even provide the build number.

How to Emulate TI-83/84 Graphing Calculator

How to emulate the TI-83, TI-84, and several other calculators on both Windows and Mac.
  1. Search for wabbitemu and select the most relevant link. It should be https://wabbit.codeplex.com/releases/view/44625.
  2. Choose either the Windows or Mac version.
  3. Download the file.
  4. Open the application.
  5. If it is ready, the default calculator will appear.
  6. If not, set it up using Re-run setup wizard in the Help menu.
  7. In the setup window, select Use open source software.
  8. Then select the calculator. The TI-84 Plus SE works best.
  9. Finish and save the ROM file anywhere. You can delete it afterwards and the calculator will still work.
  10. Enjoy your emulated graphing calculator!
