  1. Open Firefox.
  2. Click on the menu button to the right of the address bar.
  3. Click Add-ons.
  4. Switch to the Appearance tab.
  5. Locate the theme to be removed and click the Remove button.

  1. Right-click on the desktop.
  2. Navigate to New, then click Shortcut.
  3. Copy and paste the URL of the web page into the item location field.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Name the shortcut (optional).
  6. Click Finish.
  7. When you double-click the shortcut, the link opens in the default web browser.

Paint.NET: Color Image to Black and White

How to turn a color image into a black and white (grayscale) image using Paint.NET.
  1. With the image open in Paint.NET, open the Adjustments menu.
  2. Select Black and White (or use CTRL + SHIFT + G).
  3. This will turn the entire image into black and white.
  4. To turn only part of the image into grayscale, use the rectangle, lasso, or ellipse select tools, or the magic wand tool, and draw the selection area over a certain part of the image.
  5. After selecting the area, perform the same operation as in steps 1 and 2.
  6. Only the selected part of the image will turn black and white.

Windows 8: How to Make a Text File Read-Only

How to make text file read-only in Windows 8 and several other versions of Windows.
  1. Right-click on the file.
  2. Select Properties at the bottom of the list.
  3. In the General tab, check the box for Read-only at the bottom.
  4. Click Apply and OK.
  5. Edits to the text file will require creating a new copy, thus making the original file read-only.

How to Remove the "Get Windows 10" Icon

How to remove the "Get Windows 10" notification icon from the taskbar in Windows 8.
  1. Click the arrow next to the notification.
  2. Select Customize...
  3. Find GWX and set the value to Hide icon and notifications.
  4. Click OK.
  5. GWX is also an application that can be killed by right-clicking on the taskbar, opening the Task Manager, finding GWX, and clicking End task.
  6. To prevent all future update notifications, disable Windows update in PC settings > Update and recovery > Windows Update > Choose how updates get installed > Never check for updates.
