Microsoft Word: How to Set Up an MLA Format Essay (2017)

How to set up an MLA format essay (8th edition, 2017) in Microsoft Word 2016:
  1. Open a new document.
  2. Set the font to Times New Roman, size 12.
  3. In the Paragraph section, set the line spacing to 2.0.
  4. Also in the line spacing menu, select Remove Space After Paragraph.
  5. Type your first and last name. Press enter/return once.
  6. Type the name of the professor or teacher. Enter/return.
  7. Type the name of the class. Enter/return.
  8. Type the either the due date or completion date of the paper, whichever is applicable. Use the format DD month YYYY. For example, 01 January 2017. Enter/return.
  9. In the Paragraph section, set the alignment to Center.
  10. Type the title of the paper. Enter/return.
  11. Press the tab key once to indent.
  12. Type your essay, separating each paragraph by pressing enter/return only once. Indent each paragraph with the tab key.
  13. With the cursor at the end of the last paragraph, go to Insert > Page Break.
  14. On the new page, change the alignment to Center and type Works Cited.
  15. For information on how to cite sources, check out the Purdue OWL MLA Formatting and Style Guide.
  16. Go to the top of the first page.
  17. Insert > Page Number > Top of Page > Plain Number 3 (number in the top right of the page).
  18. Type your last name, then a space.
  19. Select your name and the page number, and set the font to match the paper.
  20. This page number will be added automatically to all pages.

  1. Switch to the Media Generators tab.
  2. If you do not see it, go to View -> Window -> Media Generators.
  3. Choose (Legacy) Text.
  4. Move the clip down one track on the timeline.
  5. Drag Heavy Outline to the top track.
  6. Set the font size to 36.
  7. In the Placement tab, set Y to 0.800.
  8. In the Effects tab, set Draw Outline to black.
  9. Close the window.
  10. Adjust the length of the subtitles.

  1. In the upper-left corner of the preview window, click Project Video Properties
  2. Select HD 1080-60i from the drop-down menu.
  3. Make sure the width is 1920 and the height is 1080.

  6. When you are ready to render, go to File -> Render As...
  7. Find Windows Media Video.

LibreOffice Writer: Different Headers on Each Page

How to insert different headers on each page of a document in LibreOffice Writer:
  1. Create the first header.
  2. Go to Styles -> Styles and Formatting.
  3. Switch to Page Styles by clicking its icon near the top of the sidebar.
  4. Right-click, New....
  5. Switch to the Page tab and reset the margins to match the default style.
  6. Switch to the Header tab.
  7. Check the box for Header on. Make sure the header spacing matches the default style.
  8. Apply and OK.
  9. Click at the end of the body text on the first page.
  10. Go to Insert -> Manual Break....
  11. For the type, select Page break.
  12. Set the style to Untitled1 (the style you just created) and click OK.
  13. The header ribbon should say Header (Untitled1). You can now edit the second header without changing the first.
  14. Repeat as necessary for more headers.

  1. Open the Start menu.
  2. Search for regedit.exe and press enter.

  4. If the Windows Search folder does not exist, create it by right-clicking on the Windows folder and then New > Key.
  5. Create the following entries by right-clicking in the empty space and using New > Key: AllowCortana, AllowSearchToUseLocation, ConnectedSearchUseWeb, ConnectedSearchUseWebOverMeteredConnections, DisableWebSearch.
  6. Leave all of them with the default value of 0, except for DisableWebSearch, which you need to right-click, Modify..., and set the value to 1.
  7. Allow some time for the changes to take effect.

  9. Type the title of the paper. Enter.
  10. Set the alignment back to Left align and press the tab key once.
  11. Begin the first paragraph. At the end of the first paragraph, press enter once to start a new line. Use tab to indent and repeat.
  12. Set the cursor at the end of the last paragraph, go to Insert, then Page break.
  13. Type "Works Cited" and align it to the center.
  14. Go to the first page and select Insert, Page number, and choose the first option.
  15. Type your last name before the page number (with a space in between).
  16. Move the header down two lines, and change its font to Times New Roman, size 12.
  17. Finish the paper and add the citations to the works cited, if necessary.

    5. A new tab will open. Use the Start Server button to turn the server on. Note: You may need to allow the operation in a User Account Control prompt that will pop up.
    6. When the server is running, open the command line client and enter the password. If it works, a welcome message will be displayed. If not, the command line client will close.
    7. To stop the server, click Stop Server in the MySQL Workbench tab.

    How to Delete a Google Account

    How to delete a Google account.
    1. Go to https://myaccount.google.com.
    2. Under Account preferences, select Delete your account or services.
    3. Select Delete Google Account and data.
    4. Sign in to your Google account if you have not already.
    5. Read the notice and check the two boxes.
    6. Click the DELETE ACCOUNT button.
