- Click on the timeline at the location where you want to split the clip.
- Press the 'S' key on the keyboard.
- The clips are now separate.
- To group clips back together, select them, right-click, Group -> Create New. You can also press the 'G' key.
- To clear the grouping: select the clips, right-click, Group -> Clear. You can also use CTRL+U.

Sony Vegas Pro 13: How to Render in 1080p
How to render videos in 1080p in Sony Vegas Pro 13:
- In the upper-left corner of the preview window, click Project Video Properties.
- Select HD 1080-60i from the drop-down menu.
- Make sure the width is 1920 and the height is 1080.
- OK
- Add and edit your clips. If a message appears when dragging a clip onto the timeline, answer no.
- When you are ready to render, go to File -> Render As...
- Find Windows Media Video.
- The 1080p options are not 16:9, so we will create our own.
- Select 6 Mbps HD 720-30p.
- Customize Template...
- Go to the Video tab.
- For Image size, select (Custom).
- Set the width to 1920 and the height to 1080.
- Rename the template.
- Press the save button next to the name.
- OK
- Select the new template.
- Render

nameserver 8.8.4.4
- Type the following command: nano /etc/resolv.conf
- Add these two lines to the end of the file:
nameserver 8.8.4.4
- Use CTRL+X to close the editor, type y to save changes, and press enter when the "file name to write" appears.
- The apt-get update command should work now.

LibreOffice Writer: Different Headers on Each Page
How to insert different headers on each page of a document in LibreOffice Writer:
- Create the first header.
- Go to Styles -> Styles and Formatting.
- Switch to Page Styles by clicking its icon near the top of the sidebar.
- Right-click, New....
- Switch to the Page tab and reset the margins to match the default style.
- Switch to the Header tab.
- Check the box for Header on. Make sure the header spacing matches the default style.
- Apply and OK.
- Click at the end of the body text on the first page.
- Go to Insert -> Manual Break....
- For the type, select Page break.
- Set the style to Untitled1 (the style you just created) and click OK.
- The header ribbon should say Header (Untitled1). You can now edit the second header without changing the first.
- Repeat as necessary for more headers.
