Microsoft Word: How to Insert a Subscript

How to make text into a subscript in Microsoft Word.
  1. Select the text you wish to subscript.
  2. In the Home tab, find the 'x' icon with a small number under it.
  3. Click this button. (Or use CTRL + =)
  4. The text will become subscript.
  5. To change the text back to normal, select it and press the button again.
  6. If you want to continue typing normally at the end of a subscript, move the blinking cursor to the end and press the subscript button once more.
