Windows 8: How to Adjust Screen Resolution

How to adjust the screen resolution using the Control Panel in Windows 8.
  1. Open the Start screen.
  2. Search for Control Panel and open the application.
  3. Under Appearance and Personalization, click Adjust screen resolution.
  4. If the option is not listed there, then click Appearance and Personalization and select Adjust screen resolution under the Display heading.
  5. If you are using multiple displays, select the display that you wish to change first.
  6. Click on the second drop-down box and move the slider up/down to increase/decrease the screen resolution.
  7. After making the desired changes, click Apply and OK.
