- In the toolbar, click Options.
- Select Preferences at the bottom of the list.
- Switch to the Editing tab.
- Find New still image length (seconds) near the middle of the list.
- Change the value to whatever you want.
- Click Apply and OK.
- When you drag a new still image onto the timeline, it will have a default length of the value that you specified.
