How to Opt-Out of Interest-Based Google Ads

How to disable Google's interest-based ads across the web.
  1. Go to http://www.google.com/settings/ads.
  2. If that does not work, Google search for "google ads opt out" and select the most relevant link.
  3. Scroll to the bottom.
  4. Under opt-out settings, select the two opt-out links.
  5. Google will now collect less data about you.
