- Open the Control Panel.
- Go to Hardware and Sound.
- Under Devices and Printers, click Device Manager.
- Find Imaging devices in the list.
- Right-click on the laptop's webcam.
- Select Properties.
- Switch to the Driver tab and click Uninstall.
- Answer yes to the prompt. The webcam will be "removed" from the laptop.
